Texas Health Fort Worth seeks to hire a Chaplain Intern Parttime Weekend Shift Location: Texas Health Fort Worth Harris Tower 701 6th Avenue Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work Schedule: Weekend Parttime Rotating Shift Job Description Under the supervision of ACPE-Certified Educator, provides spiritual support to THR's patients and their loved ones, facilitating coping and medical decision making during hospitalization. Contributes to the goals of Pastoral Care department by dependably and compassionately responding to emergent requests for professional spiritual support for patients, families, and THR clinical staff. Navigates electronic medical record processes and documents completion of pastoral care consult requests according to established Pastoral Care processes Serves as an opportunity for the employee to gain working knowledge of assigned area while contributing to THR's vision and mission. Participates in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned. Education Bachelor's Degree Req And Master's Degree Master's of Divinity or its equivalent from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) accredited theological school In progress. Pref Experience 1 Year Experience in ministry setting with some supervision. Pref Skills Presents self well and demonstrates good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work with and relate to people of all faiths, cultures, nationalities, identities and differences. Ability to offer non-anxious presence and work with people in times of crisis and loss, providing compassionate care. Proficiently documents patient care in the electronic medical record and makes appropriate referrals to staff. Ability to provide religious/spiritual rituals when requested by patients or staff, and to know when to ask area clergy to provide special and appropriate needs. Works effectively with HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient confidentiality. #LI-J1
