Salvos Stores are looking for a devoted Chaplain to join the team in Victoria. We seek someone with a mature spiritual and theological outlook. About the Role Providing pastoral care to the staff and volunteers that work within Salvos Stores through visitation and contact. Attending sites regularly and engaging with the team. Attending Salvos Store manager meetings to provide a spiritual influence. Organising and promoting spiritual activities such as regular prayer time. Promoting available resources to staff and customers of The Salvation Army (TSA) within the local area. Participating in the promotion of TSA missions, vision and values within Salvos Stores. Fostering an environment where we encourage and support the stores and sites in local community engagement, and empower the workforce to actively pursue these initiatives. Facilitating a closer collaboration between Salvos Stores, the local Corps or faith community, and other local Salvation Army services and community organizations About You To be successful in this role you will have: An understanding of, and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army. A Diploma of Chaplaincy and/or Clinical Pastoral Education or willingness to undertake studies. Experience working with front line staff across multiple sites is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience working with vulnerable people. Ability to problem solve creatively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to connect with people in an empathetic manner. Current Australian Driver’s License. Working with Children’s Check. Preparedness to travel across multiple locations in Victoria. Responsibilities
