Overview Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (4 days/week)* *Must work every Monday + Friday The Chaplain provides compassionate, holistic support to patients and their families by addressing their emotional, social, and spiritual needs during times of illness and transition. This role serves as a vital member of the care team, offering direct spiritual care and coordinating with other counselors and professionals to ensure every individual receives personalized, meaningful support aligned with their values and beliefs. Maintain record of spiritual care services and related activities for quality assurance, program development, and policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a resource group of clergy to whom specific aspects of spiritual care may be delegated. Recruit community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and spiritual care volunteers adequately to meet patient/ family/caregiver needs. Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Graduate of accredited school of theology, or related Bachelor’s degree. 1 unit of CPE at time of hire. 2nd unit of CPE must be completed within 1 year of hire. Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Valid Mandatory Reporter course completion by state(s) requirement. CPR Certification. Minimum Experience: Ordination in a particular religious group and/or endorsed and in good standing from an ecclesiastical governing body.
