KEY REQUIREMENTS
This role would particularly suit someone exploring a vocation to Chaplaincy and/or ministry in their own faith. The successful candidate will have an outgoing and inclusive nature which embraces interaction with people of all backgrounds. They will demonstrate the ability to build constructive relationships with staff and students, offering sensitivity and warmth to everyone visiting or using the Chaplaincy, regardless of their background, culture or faith. Awareness of major religious festivals and customs would be an advantage. This role will require the successful candidate to obtain a DBS check.

This Chaplaincy Assistant role, reporting to the Chaplain, works within the team to help deliver a vibrant and engaging programme of events to both staff and students. This will include, but is not limited to, hosting regular lunches, facilitating small groups, working in partnership with our other Chaplaincy Assistant and taking an active role in Welcome Week and other university-wide events.
The role is for 8 hours a week term-time only, running from mid-September 2025 to mid-June 2026.
