Definition and establishment of standards for productive AI systems, especially for evaluation, testing, monitoring, guardrails and reliability.
Further development of methodological approaches for LLM-based, knowledge-intensive and agentic systems, e.g. in the areas of retrieval, response quality and behavior of probabilistic systems.
Close collaboration with specialist departments and top management
Establishing a production engineering mindset (monitoring, quality, compliance)
Further development of roles, skill profiles and career paths within the AI/ML chapter

Several years of experience in AI/ML engineering with deep technical expertise
Leadership experience in the engineering environment
Strategic and economic thinking
Excellent communication skills, also towards non-technical stakeholders.
Consulting experience is an advantage
Confident handling of uncertainty and probabilities, as well as the ability to transparently communicate the risks and limitations of AI.
Fluent German and very good English skills
For the advertised position, a current police clearance certificate is required as part of the application process. Entries that would preclude the applicant from performing the intended duties may lead to rejection.
