As a Chapter Lead Backend Development, you will play a crucial role in guiding our backend engineering team and shaping our technical strategy. You will be a part of our JobShop Experience Team, where you will focus on building the services that power both our Recruiter Home product and the JobShop pages used daily by candidates throughout Germany and beyond. This hybrid role balances hands-on engineering with strategic chapter management, and we are looking for you to:

• Lead and evolve backend technical strategy across our engineering squads
• Facilitate collaboration between the Tech Board and the backend engineering chapter
• Mentor backend engineers, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Conduct technical interviews and optimize squad allocations
• Drive improvements by addressing addressing technical debt and communicating improvements in business terms
• Actively contribute to development work within a delivery squad
• Make critical architectural decisions, including frameworks, JDK selection, and data structures
