ING is now building its Analytics capabilities in Cloud! It is to help ING to be even more data driven. This is a joined effort between ING units, and you are going to be part of a distributed multi-national and multi-cultural team. There is plenty of work and fun down this road.
As a Chapter Lead Data Engineer, you will help develop the data-driven products that the Analytics Engineering (AE) organization builds. Within the AE organization, we use agile, lean and design thinking methodologies to launch new initiatives within or outside of ING.
Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies that make working with large amounts of data easy, you are proactive in keeping yourself up to date and trying everything out. You also enjoy laying the architectural foundations for the things AE is working on while aligning the business problem with the right technology. You combine both thinking of the future and a hands-on, right-now attitude. You can identify on which fronts a team can grow and will help them get there. You will work in a team with highly skilled people and enjoy a creative atmosphere where trying things out is encouraged.
Next to the hands-on project-related work, the rest of 60% of your time you will be responsible for an awesome group of Data Engineers from different technological backgrounds in your chapter from coaching and professional development to hiring and staffing. Furthermore, you will promote data engineering excellence within the organization. Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies that make working with substantial amounts of data easy, you are proactive in keeping yourself up to date and are always searching for new ways to discover modern technologies.
You are intimately familiar with any of the back-end programming languages, such as Python, Scala, or Kotlin, and feel at home working with distributed applications.
Think Forward! We aim to empower people to stay a step ahead in life and business. We are an industry-recognized strong brand with positive recognition from customers in many countries, strong financial position, an omnichannel distribution strategy and an international network. If you want to work at a place with lots of freedom to innovate, where we believe that you can live by the Agile manifesto without jeopardizing the necessary continuity, compliance, and QA measures, where we are committed to deliver stable and secure services to end users, and where we have a getting-things done mentality, please read on!
