Organization: ABSMC-Summit Campus Position Overview: Responsible for the coordination of patient care services for the respective clinical specialty, patient population, and assigned unit(s)/shift. Uses organizational, clinical, communication, and problem solving skills to assist in managing the patient work flow on assigned shift. Serves as a role model and clinical expert for the delivery of professional nursing care and provides leadership in developing and maintaining optimal patient care standards. Effectively provides age appropriate patient care. Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Adheres and promotes to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience. Job Description: EDUCATION Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Required BSN Preferred CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE RN- Registered Nurse State Licensure Required BLS- Basic Life Support Certification Required EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience within the past 5 years, at least 1 year of which is within area of specialty is Required. Two years Orthopedics experience Preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Demonstrates knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments and general health care procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to: provide basic patient care to a diverse population read/interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations write legibly and effectively present ideas, document activities demonstrate leadership abilities deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Knowledge of documenting in electronic medical record. Pay Range is $87.06 to $117.78 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
