Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will lead the clinical and care team in the day-to-day operations of our 64-bed Nursing Home. Reporting to the Clinical Care Coordinator and Clinical Care Manager, this is a hands-on role working alongside the team to deliver high quality, person-centred care for our residents. In doing this, you will coach and mentor the team and facilitate an environment where residents, families, staff, and visitors feel respected, cared for, valued, safe, and happy.
Your primary focus is to ensure that all nursing functions within the Home run smoothly and efficiently. You will provide leadership, coordination and clinical supervision to facilitate and manage the complex health and wellbeing needs of residents.
You will play a critical role in upholding the clinical effectiveness of the home through resident care planning, quality assurance, continuous improvement and adherence to accreditation standards.
Your empathetic approach and strong relationship building skills combined with strong clinical skills will be critical to your success as you engage with residents, families, and health professionals to support residents to live their life as they choose whilst in our care.

  • AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse)
  • Experience in the Aged Care industry, ideally in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Strong clinical skills and understanding of the aged care standards, care delivery models, resident choice and reporting requirements
  • A genuine passion for working in the Aged Care industry, demonstrated by your compassionate approach and commitment to contemporary, best practice car
