Registered Nurse, Charge - Antepartum Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Position Highlights · Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano Texas 75093 · Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm – 7:00am Here’s What You Need · Diploma in Nursing required or · Associates Degree Nursing required or · BSN (preferred) · 1 Year of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required · 2 years of antepartum experience highly preferred · 2 years of experience as a clinical nurse in acute care setting preferred · RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required and · NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program upon hire required and · ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required · IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring upon hire preferred and · CPI – Crises Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required What You Will Do · Communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team, valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion is a key strategy of teamwork at Texas Health. · Support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is Texas Health’s structure for decision making. · Committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development. · Directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. · Create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. · Understand how to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations. · Have knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
