Job Description

This role will provide leadership in the area of X-Ray modelling a collaborative team-based approach to co-ordinate and oversee the quality management of x-ray across the three hospital sites

  • Coordinates the day-to-day operational activities of x-ray area to ensure timely access to care
  • Perform and assist with x-ray exams; foster environment of patient and family centered care
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues internal and external to the program to facilitate safe and timely patient flow
  • Works in partnership with the Manager and Team Leads to create a safe, evidence-based environment
  • Promotes the use of evidence based and best practice in collaboration with the Manager and Team Leads
  • Responsible for scheduling of x-ray technologists and for payroll submission in collaboration with the Manager
  • Responsible for equipment management , including resolving service issues and coordinating preventative maintenance
  • Facilitates and promotes staff development
  • Monitors quality indicators and identifying improvement strategies
  • Budget Review and variance reporting; Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in the management of human and material resources
  • Assists the Manager with staff recruitment, performance appraisals and the Attendance Management Program
  • Accepts and completes projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of approved training program in Radiography
  • Minimum 3-5 years x-ray experience.
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively, excellent problem solving skills.
  • Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRTO “Essential Competencies” to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the profession
  • Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills
  • Committed to service excellence while meeting the patient/staff needs efficiently
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective manner
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
    Additional Information
    Status: Temporary Full Time (Approx. 1 year)
    Hours: Monday to Sunday - Various rotating 7,5 hour shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
    Salary: $45.982 to $59.737 per hour
