CHARGEHAND – JOINERY

We are seeking an experienced Chargehand – Joinery to lead and supervise joinery production activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in joinery, be able to read and interpret drawings, prepare cutting lists, and manage a team of 50 carpenters. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to ensure timely and high-quality production outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5–10 years of experience in joinery production within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing, processes, tools, and finishes.
• Ability to prepare cutting lists and interpret detailed drawings.
• Proven experience in managing large teams of carpenters and foremen.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and result-driven.

• Supervise and manage a team of approximately 50 carpenters in the workshop.
• Read and interpret technical, architectural, and shop drawings accurately.
• Prepare cutting lists and material take-offs to ensure efficient production.
• Coordinate daily production activities with the Production Manager.
• Monitor production workflow to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control throughout the production process.
• Provide guidance, training, and technical support to foremen and carpenters.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Maintain records of production progress, manpower deployment, and material usage.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies in the workshop.
