QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified Auditor: You are ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong audit background gained within a UK accountancy practice—whether Top 10, mid-tier or independent.
  • Sector Interest: You have a genuine interest in the charity and not-for-profit space and are looking to develop your expertise in a purpose-driven sector.
  • Confident Communicator: You’re comfortable engaging with clients and internal teams, able to explain technical matters clearly and professionally.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organised: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines with confidence and consistently delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Senior Associate/Associate Manager in our Audit team, you’ll be instrumental in delivering exceptional audit services to a varied and impactful portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. Based in our Bristol office, you’ll lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery and a seamless client experience. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, supporting the wider team and playing a key role in developing junior colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Audit Engagements: Take ownership of audits from initial planning to final sign-off, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships with charity and NFP clients, gaining a strong understanding of their operations and offering proactive, value-added insight.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise closely with managers, partners, and colleagues across the firm to deliver a joined-up service and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Review & Supervision: Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and on-the-job coaching to support their development.
  • Technical Delivery: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and developments within the charity and not-for-profit sector.
