A NOTE TO AGENCIES

We understand that agencies do search for opportunities to work with organisations such as ourselves. However, we request that you do not contact us in relation to the vacancies advertised above. We respond to enquiries from individuals seeking employment directly

Responsibilities

St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves retail and an exciting time to join St Clare Hospice Retail. This is a great role for someone looking to develop their management skills further within a busy charity Retail environment.
You will need to be an energetic, resilient team leader supporting the volunteer and staff team to deliver the very best customer service experience to our supporters, donors and customers.
You will be diligent in daily compliance across health and safety in the workplace and compliance of Retail gift aid processing to maximise the income at every opportunity.
You will provide cover for our shop managers’ and assistant shop managers’ annual leave. This cover could range from a couple of days to a few weeks. We will maintain a register of bank staff, and you will generally be contacted at least four weeks in advance. However, there may be occasional short-notice requests to cover for sickness absence.
Expenses will be reimbursed, mileage or equivalent public transport costs from your home to the shop. If you drive, we will also reimburse your car parking fees.
For an informal discussion, please contact: Rose Sheppard, Head of Trading by email Rose.Sheppard@stclarehospice.org.uk
