Now is an exciting time to join Deafblind UK as we are going through a period of growth and expansion.
We are seeking a dynamic assistant shop manager to support our shop manager in overseeing our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the shop, in the absence of the shop manager and working with the shop manager to maximise income through the display and sale of donated items and ensuring smooth operations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Our shops play a vital role in raising the essential funds for our Charity, we are currently looking for an assistant shop manager for our shop in Rivergate to work a total of 3 days a week, a total of 22.5 hours across 7 days including weekends with the salary of £15,219
This role is a permanent contract with the additional of some overtime hours for holiday and sickness cover.

  • To support the Charity Retail Manager to maximise all opportunities to generate shop income and meet if not exceed annual targets, through best practice of stock management and rotation, sales presentation, online sales and the creation of a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
  • Great organisational, multi-tasking and IT skills
  • Recruitment / working with volunteers is desirable but not essential
  • Working with the shop manager to lead a team to deliver great customer service to donors and customers.
  • Working with the shop manager to maximize all opportunities to generate shop income and achieve all agreed targets, through best practice of stock management and rotation, sales presentation, online sales and the creation of a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
  • Work with the local community to help generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales
