We are looking to recruit a part time Charity Shop Assistant to support the day-to-day management of our busy charity shops, which raise funds for local animal welfare.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organized and passionate individual who wants to help us raise funds to support our crucial work - helping local animals in need.
The responsibilities of the role include; Supporting the Shop Manager in the daily running of the shop; generating and processing donations; maximizing gift aid; keeping the shop tidy and fully stocked; customer service; merchandising and window displays; cash handling; managing our small, dedicated team of volunteers.
The successful candidate will work Sunday and Monday. Candidate must also be flexible and prepared to occasionally work additional hours to provide cover when needed in the event of sickness or annual leave.
There are two charity shops (one in Bedford, one in Kempston) and the successful applicant will be expected to be available to work in both stores.
Previous retail experience is essential. Applicants must be aged 18+ and finished education.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12.5 per week
