We are seeking a skilled and strategic Chartered Accountant to oversee our financial operations and support business growth through robust planning, reporting, and compliance for our CFW group of companies.

  • Develop, manage, and align annual budgets with company strategy; conduct rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and quarterly management reports
  • Monitor daily cash flow, ensure sufficient liquidity, and optimize working capital through effective forecasting and controls.
  • Analyse fixed and variable costs and identify cost saving opportunities
  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures, conducting regular audits and reviews.
  • Maintain efficient and reliable financial systems, driving automation and ensuring data accuracy and system uptime.
  • Ensure all tax returns (VAT, PAYE, company tax, etc.) are submitted on time, while minimizing exposure and avoiding penalties.
  • Lead and develop a high performing finance team through training, performance evaluations, and clear role definition.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision making, project viability assessments, and investment planning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA(SA) or equivalent preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience on Sage X3 is advantageous
