OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Qualified Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong commercial awareness.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience in a finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
  • Proven track record in preparing management and statutory accounts.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulations.
  • Proficient in Sage accounting software .
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members is desirable.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to contribute to strategic discussions.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Oversee statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Manage tax compliance including VAT, corporation tax, and payroll obligations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure effective financial control.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial systems, processes, and controls.
  • Support business growth initiatives, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and development to junior finance staff.
