QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, and profitability and variance analysis
  • A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures with a minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting and Finance Controlling
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet time demands and multiple duties with a focus on teamwork
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer and data analytics skills with proficient use of Excel
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports
  • Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts with each department
  • Responsible for identifying any issues with financial operations and making recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Accounts Payables focus
  • Keep organized AP listing and create schedule to best prioritize payments
  • Work in coordination with payroll representative to complete annual T4 preparation
  • Prepare year-end, HST/PST/WSIB/EHT Corporate Federal & Provincial tax remittances and filings
  • Report and work directly with the Director of Operations to build and manage financial projections, compare to actual monthly results, and develop company strategies to maintain financial sustainability
  • Participate in all discussions with Banks and other lending institutions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
