Responsibilities

As an apprentice quantity surveyor, you’ll be at the centre of infrastructure improvement and investment projects that help connect the country.
Guided by experienced commercial professionals and quantity surveyors, you’ll learn to apply a range of quantity surveying techniques including forecasting, estimation, value management and whole life costing, risk management, and managing suppliers to deliver best quality and value.

As well as developing your technical and business knowledge and skills, you’ll discover:

  • How our contracts work
  • How we select specialist contractors for our projects
  • How we monitor supplier performance

You’ll also complete a Level 6 undergraduate degree apprenticeship, accredited with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which will be the first step on your journey towards professional recognition as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
