YOUR MAIN ACTIVITIES IN THIS POSITION

Job Summary:
As an intern with the Chassis Control team, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge chassis solutions for autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and optimize chassis components for cargo and people mover vehicles.
  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for chassis components.
  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of chassis prototypes.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities, including vehicle durability testing and crash testing.
  • Document test results, identify issues, and work with the team to implement design improvements.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team & Supplier to ensure the efficient production of chassis components
  • Provide input on manufacturing processes and suggest design changes for manufacturability.
  • stay up to date with the latest advancements in chassis design, materials, and manufacturing techniques
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for innovative solutions to enhance vehicle performance and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and systems engineers, to integrate chassis components with other vehicle systems.
  • Communicate effectively and share progress updates with the team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in automotive engineering and a passion for innovative technologies.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for designing and drafting
  • Basic understanding of structural analysis and simulation tools (e.g., Finite Element Analysis).
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
