Job Description Lead the design, development, and enhancement of chassis systems and accessories within the chassis group Create design documents (DAP) for chassis and engine system parts and final products Design and develop new suspension lift kits and lowering kits across Stellantis platforms Define chassis components required for lift kits based on packaging studies and suspension travel analysis Design and develop exterior/chassis accessories to meet product and business requirements (e.g., rock rails, rock rails with power steps, onboard compressors, enhanced spare tire carriers, hitch prep kits) Apply knowledge of vehicle dynamics and FMVSS requirements for system integration and compliance Interpret design needs and develop solutions that align with customer and business goals Apply APQP processes with regular team follow-ups to ensure quality and on-time launches Prepare feasibility reviews, technical reviews, and process documents for stakeholder review Release source packages based on product requirements and business case inputs Develop DVP requirements for service parts and accessory components/systems Manage suppliers for component DVP testing and coordinate vehicle-level DVP testing within Mopar Apply 3D/2D tolerance analysis and GD&T in designs Collaborate with suppliers on design validation and approvals Track project status against targets, escalating issues as needed Initiate and track engineering changes through implementation and documentation Maintain project engineering approvals and documentation Gather lessons learned from prior launches and define corrective actions for future programs Establish best practices to strengthen processes and ensure product quality Collaborate with Design and CAE teams to confirm durability and load requirements are met Review and approve engineering deliverables as part of phased PPAP process Qualifications Essential: 3–7 years of product development experience in the automotive industry Desirable: Background in vehicle dynamics and suspension design Specific Skill Requirements: Experience in product development and manufacturing processes Ability to perform design and functional integration analysis Intermediate proficiency in NX Knowledge of vehicle regulatory specifications and requirements Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and change management Knowledge of vehicle suspension systems and vehicle architecture Experience with component-level and system-level testing Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
