Description
Responsible for high quality delivery to GPDS milestones, including Launch. Lead Technical Design Reviews with Core team and D&R engineer for System/Subsystem/Component Interact with Vehicle Engineering, Program Teams, CAD, Vehicle Operations, Plant Teams, Suppliers Follow Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Failure Mode Avoidance) Responsible for overall design leadership to meet vehicle attributes including package, crash, thermal management, and others. Responsible to resolve all durability, assembly, and functional issues identified. Coach, technical mentor, and guide engineers within section. Conduct Benchmarking for Suspension systems and ensure Ford designs are efficient. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering 5+ years of Suspension systems experience. Thorough understanding of suspension system and component design Interface experience w ASO/OGC on safety critical systems. Advanced problem-solving skills. Good team communications and project management skills. Deep experience and successful track record working together in cross functional teams. High technical aptitude. Demonstrated ability to forge productive relationships, achieve cooperation, and influence priorities of technical experts and other key partners. Ability to manage/resolve urgent launch concerns. Strong skills in project planning and management - must have experience in managing large complex projects. Strong oral/written communication skills to lead group projects, issue resolution, and management reviews. Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance. Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion for customer - inherent self-starter with strong drive for results. Position requires simultaneous management of multiple complex and urgent issues. Demonstrated proficiency in engineering disciplines: DVP&R, DFMEA, 8D, Process Controls, Reliability, and System Engineering Fundamentals. Knowledgeable in GPDS. Proficient in WERS, AIMS, FEDE, GPIRS and other relevant D&R tools. Able to travel and support final assembly plants and supplier sites when required during project delivery.
