OVERVIEW

L&W Engineering Inc. is seeking experienced individuals with the ability to weld, fabricate and repair rv chassis. The desired candidate must be an effective communicator and team player with the ability to multitask. This candidate must be meticulous in their work and always strive for improvement. The candidate must be able follow work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish chassis fabrication process.

CORE WELDER/FABRICATORREQUIREMENTS:

  • General automotive knowledge
  • General knowledge of fabrication, machining/ welding equipment setup, process and maintenance.
  • Ability to consistently and precisely weld Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and Mild Steel
  • Ability to form and weld sheet metal of various gauges and materials
  • Interpretation of manuals, design specifications, blueprints, SAE and metric drawings
  • Perform standard shop math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Use and knowledge of all core welding/ fabrication tools to weld, cut, and trim metal objects to dimensions, as required by purchase or work orders
  • Inspection of both raw material and finished product for conformance to specifications.
  • Effective communication and organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
· Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
· Must be able to see details at close range.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
· Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
· Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with team in order to complete daily tasks.
Pay is hourly base rate with chassis bonus will be explained further in interview process.
