Description Chattanooga Assistant Manager - Creature Comforts Brewing Company Location: Chattanooga, TN Job Family: Manager Reports To: General Manager Exemption: Non-Exempt Position Purpose: The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in leading the Can Bar team to deliver exceptional guest experience, maintain efficient operations, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. The Assistant Manager will focus on team support, excellent customer service, effective communication, and adherence to company standards and expectations. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Team Support and Leadership: Be an active team member who prioritizes the good of the whole team over individual interests. Support the team in maintaining a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Maintain a positive attitude and outlook, setting a good example for others. Communicate politely and respectfully with guests and coworkers. Provide and receive constructive feedback in a positive manner. Lead by example and ensure the team is meeting all expectations. 2. Customer Service: Always provide excellent customer service, ensuring the highest-quality experience for our guests. Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally. Foster strong relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat visits. Assist in training staff to deliver exceptional customer service. 3. Communication and Engagement: Engage with all educational resources, beer release information, event information, and lineup note information that is provided. Ensure that staff are well-informed and up to date on all relevant information. Communicate effectively with the General Manager and other team members. Keep the team informed about changes to policies, operations, and events. 4. Staff Management: Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours. Support the training and onboarding of new team members. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are maintained. Address performance issues with guidance and support from the General Manager. 5. Operations Support: Assist in ensuring the Can Bar has the necessary supplies to run efficiently. Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained Can Bar environment. Assist in coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed. Assist in coordinating and participating in cleaning organizational projects as needed. Support inventory management and ordering processes. Oversee all end-of-shift procedures, including reporting, cash handling, and opening and closing duties 6. Marketing Support Capture photo and video content in the taproom for use across social media and marketing channels Support promotion of taproom events through in-store signage, social posts, and community outreach. Assist in updating website or event listings with accurate, timely information. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute simple campaigns and promotions. Stay aware of taproom happenings, new releases, and events to ensure content is current and relevant. Requirements Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a bar or restaurant setting or equivalent with an emphasis on team leadership and/or supervisor role.
