[https://www.greatplacetowork.com/certified-company/1269724] POSITION SUMMARY: The CHB Coordinator is responsible for processing customs entries and supporting the brokerage team's daily operations. The role works under the guidance of a CHB Team Lead or CHB Supervisor to build proficiency in entry processing, client communication, documentation review, and regulatory compliance. The CHB Coordinator is expected to meet established KPIs, actively participate in training and coaching, and contribute to team success. This role drives value through reliable entry production and professional development. The CHB Coordinator accurately processes customs entries on assigned accounts, communicates with clients and Cusoms & Border Protection, and actively builds the skills needed to progress toward independent account management. By delivering consistent, accurate work and seeking ongoing development, this role contributes to branch throughput, compliance standards, and client satisfaction.   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Own accurate and timely processing of customs entries on assigned accounts * Own review and verification of shipment documentation — including invoices, packing lists, and other required forms — prior to entry filing * Maintain communication with clients on assigned accounts to provide shipment status updates and address inquiries * Coordinate with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other regulatory agencies as needed on assigned work * Collaborate with internal departments — including Compliance and Transportation — to resolve shipment-related issues * Own meeting established KPIs for accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction on assigned work * Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and 1:1 coaching to develop skills and expand regulatory knowledge * Seek guidance and feedback from Team Lead and Supervisor to improve performance and build toward independent account management * Perform other duties as assigned BENCHMARKS FOR MEASURING SUCCESS: * Assigned entries processed accurately and on time — entry error rate maintained below branch target * KPIs met on a monthly basis — accuracy and timeliness targets achieved * Client inquiries and CBP interactions on assigned accounts handled professionally, with appropriate escalation when situations exceed current experience * Active participation in all assigned training sessions, team meetings, and 1:1 coaching — attendance and engagement documented * Shipment documentation (invoices, packing lists, supporting forms) reviewed and verified prior to entry filing * Progressive reduction in the level of oversight required — demonstrating growth toward independent account management SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Skills: * Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and entry processes (developing toward working knowledge) * Ability to process entries and review shipment documentation accurately * Proficiency in customs brokerage software (CargoWise) or ability to learn quickly * Microsoft Office Suite proficiency Business Skills: * Attention to detail in documentation review and entry processing * Client communication — professional, clear, and responsive * Time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Receptiveness to feedback and coaching Required Qualifications: * Minimum 1–2 years of experience in customs brokerage or a related field * Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and entry processes * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Demonstrated contribution to Mohawk Global culture — such as attending and planning giveback/engagement activities, working on efficiency initiatives, and contributing to team success Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field * Experience with customs brokerage software (CargoWise) OFFICE / WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position operates in a professional office environment (and/or remotely from a home office) with a quiet to moderate noise level and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such computers, photocopying machines and storage/filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role, however, lifting items under 25 pounds as well as the ability to bend, stand and walk short distances may be required.  Travel Requirement:
