Description
The UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine is looking to hire a Check Airmen to support MedEvac. Schedule: 8-hour shifts with flexible schedule Purpose: The STAT MedEvac Aviation Department Check Airman is responsible for the training and examination of CEM pilots in accordance with the approved training program. Responsibilities: Inform the Director of Training as to the results of each ground school or flight check. Ensure the standardization and adherence of all Federal Aviation Regulations, CEM and Administrator directives, policies and procedures. Conduct flight checks and ground schools as scheduled by the Director of Training. Assist in manpower requirements as needed to staff base sites. Complete all necessary training forms and company paperwork in a timely manner. Coordinate all training events through Director of Training for inclusion on weekly maintenance and training schedule. 1 year experience as a STAT MedEvac master pilot. 1 year flight instruction experience either as a designated STAT MedEvac company flight instructor, FAA designated CFI/CFII or DPE, or as a designated primary/advanced military flight instructor in the respective services training command. Complete CEM Check Airman Training Curriculum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
