Description

Who we are:

Embark on a journey where your contributions truly matter, collaborating with a vibrant and diverse team dedicated to redefining the frontiers of innovation and excellence.

At Boeing Defence Australia, a proud wholly owned subsidiary, we are at the forefront of shaping the future of aerospace, delivering critical sustainment programs for the Australian Defence Force that are vital to our nation's security.

You will be part of a dynamic, engaging, and authentic team that takes pride in the impactful work we do for the Australian Defence Force.

A career with Boeing means joining a global leader in the aerospace industry—where, with us, the sky is just the beginning of your potential.

Why This Role is Perfect for You!

Commence your career by joining our innovative Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Apprentice, in the avionics trade where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Chinook Integrated Support Services program at RAAF Base Townsville, Queensland. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge platform in support of Australia's front line Defence.

You don't need a background in Defence aviation to be successful! We encourage all members of the Aviation trades industry to apply. If you hold Fixed or Rotary Wing qualifications and have experience in General, Civil, or Defence Aviation, we would love to hear from you.

We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer a day work pattern with occasional afternoon shifts. Plus, there may be opportunities to participate in travel to other locations, fully funded by us. Your role will involve hands-on aircraft flight-line activities in support of mission success, routine maintenance/troubleshooting of systems and components, ensuring compliance with maintenance documentation, and fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.

To thrive in this position, you must be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is able to pass all CERT IV - Aeroskills examinations to the acceptable pass mark of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and achieve 75% or higher to attain a Defence Licensed outcome.

Health and safety are our top priorities, and you'll be expected to champion these standards by following Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.

We're looking for a team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to task management. A willingness to learn and a passion for working in a close-knit team that upholds our carefully crafted positive culture are essential for success in this role. Join us and be part of something extraordinary!
