Job Description The Warehouse in Feilding, New Zealand, is seeking a friendly and efficient Checkout Team Member to join our retail family. As a crucial part of our front-line team, you'll be responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for our valued customers. Operate the checkout counter efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately and promptly Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers with a warm smile and assisting with enquiries Handle cash, credit card payments, and other forms of tender with precision Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area Assist with bagging items and ensuring customers' purchases are properly packaged Stay informed about current promotions, store policies, and product information to address customer questions Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth flow of customers through the checkout area Perform end-of-day reconciliation of cash registers and prepare cash deposits Assist with additional tasks as required, such as returns processing or stock replenishment This is a permanent, part-time position with the following hours of work: Tuesday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm Saturday: 11:00am - 6:00pm Qualifications Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers Solid mathematical skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately Keen attention to detail to ensure error-free work Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift items of varying weights Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not essential A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organisation Additional Information Tā mātou tāpaetanga – What we offer Team Card: Access to discounts across our brands.
