POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a diligent and technologically adept Checkpoint Operator to play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our establishment. Positioned at the team member entrance, the ideal candidate will combine sharp attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and impeccable organization with a warm, welcoming demeanor for team members and visitors alike. This role centers on monitoring and managing checkpoint systems to prevent unauthorized access, creating and issuing team members’ badges, upholding security protocols, and contributing to the well-being of our facility and its team.

Requirements:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while efficiently utilizing downtime to stay organized and productive.
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude as the first point of contact for team members and visitors.
  • Previous experience in checkpoint management, surveillance, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems, live feed monitoring, and access control software is a plus.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail with the ability to detect unusual patterns, unauthorized access, or security breaches.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report incidents and collaborate with security teams.
  • Quick decision-making and situational awareness to address live issues in real-time.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed logs, issuing credentials, and managing documentation accurately.
  • Integrity and discretion, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical practices
Responsibilities
  • Create, issue, and maintain records for lost and forgotten access cards, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
  • Issue access cards for new team members while maintaining an organized record-keeping system.
  • Actively monitor surveillance cameras to identify potential risks, ensure prompt detection of unusual activities, and maintain vigilance to safeguard team members, guests, and the property.
  • Oversee live surveillance feeds of certain areas, identifying and escalating security concerns as needed.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with security personnel regarding live incidents or findings requiring immediate action.
  • Manage access control for team members, including playground staff, ensuring smooth and secure shift arrivals.
  • Sign in external visitors, including construction workers and performers, ensuring proper documentation and authorization before granting access.
