REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience coaching cheerleading (Level 1+ qualification desirable)
  • Knowledge of the UK cheerleading competition circuit (e.g., BCA, Legacy, FC, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate athletes
  • Passionate about youth sport and performance
  • Current DBS check, safeguarding certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid trained (or willing to complete training)
    We also welcome applications from dance coaches, gymnasts, or fitness professionals with relevant experience in choreography, performance, or acro-based movement who are willing to train in cheerleading.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Cheerleading Coach to join our team and lead the growth of our newly established cheerleading programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver fun, safe, and engaging cheerleading sessions
  • Develop routines and choreography suited to different age groups and abilities
  • Prepare the team for local and national competitions
  • Teach correct techniques across stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance
  • Foster teamwork, confidence, and discipline within the group
  • Ensure sessions align with current industry and safety standards
  • Support with athlete progression and performance development
  • Help grow participation in the programme and promote team culture
  • Communicate effectively with parents, athletes, and the wider coaching team
