Bloom Dance Company is an established dance studio in Guelph with a strong reputation for high-quality programming and a supportive, family-friendly environment. We’re excited to expand our offerings by introducing recreational cheerleading program — and we’re looking for the right instructor to lead the way!

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic Cheerleading Instructor to teach recreational cheerleading classes on Fridays. This is a part-time role, perfect for someone passionate about cheer, dance, or gymnastics who enjoys working with children and creating a positive, team-based environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience as a cheerleader (university, competitive, or recreational level) OR as a gymnastics/dance coach with cheerleading knowledge.
· Coaching certifications an asset (NCCP, Cheer Canada, or equivalent).
· CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
· Strong communication and leadership skills; enthusiastic and motivating personality.
· Must enjoy working with children and youth.

· Teach recreational cheerleading classes focused on chants, motions, dance, jumps, and safe introductory stunts/tumbling.
· Create a fun, supportive atmosphere that builds confidence and teamwork.
· Develop age-appropriate class plans.
· Ensure student safety by following proper cheerleading progressions and spotting techniques.
· Potential to help grow the program into camps, workshops, or performance teams.
