The Cheese Manager plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high department standards and driving sales performance. If you enjoy working with specialty foods, staying active, and being part of a team, this could be a great fit for you. “There are no strangers here, only friends we have yet to meet.” — Frank Oakes — Requirements Essential Job Functions: •Lead daily operations of the Gourmet Cheese Department in a fast-paced environment. • Manage ordering, inventory, merchandising, and product quality. • Cut, wrap, and maintain proper handling of specialty and artisanal cheeses. • Create attractive displays that promote sales and product visibility. • Maintain a clean, organized department following food safety standards. • Train, coach, and support team members. • Monitor product freshness, rotation, and department presentation. Minimum Skills and Qualifications: • Previous experience in grocery, specialty food, or cheese retail required. • Leadership or supervisory experience required. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. . Physical Demands • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the department. • Ability to work in refrigerated and food preparation environments.
