Description Starting Wage: $18.39/hour Department: Prepared Foods Reports To: Prepared Foods Management Location: All City Market Locations Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 3 Summary City Market Co-Op is seeking a Cheese Stocker with customer service or retail experience to join our team! As a Cheese Stocker, you will stock a variety of fresh cheese and related products in addition to being a welcoming presence for our customers. Day-to-Day Duties Learn and maintain knowledge of cheese and product spec sheets, recipes, and food preparation in the department to provide prompt and friendly responses to coworker and customer questions. Assist with stocking, cleaning, preparation and merchandising of cheese case, olive bar, and prepared foods and surrounding stations prioritizing facing, customer convenience and freshness. Ensuring products are labeled and rotated in all cases, food storage and refrigerated areas. Assist Deli Service Staff as needed. Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Six months of retail food service experience OR one year of customer service experience required. High School diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
