32m performance SY Seeking and experienced chef to join this well established program. They are offering 5 months leave over the year. This is mixed charter and private use, with approx 6-8 weeks charter per year and approx 8-10 weeks owners use. They are seeking an experienced Chef with 4-5 years experience, 1 of which must have been on a boat, preferably a sail boat, plus 3-4 years restaurant training with significant experience. It’s a charter boat so experience with a variety of dietary requirements is required, particularly healthy variants. This year they are heading for Ireland and then Croatia followed by a Caribbean season. Preferably they would like someone who loves Food and is excited about learning and growing. The ideal candidate would have a friendly outgoing manner, enjoy working at a brisk pace, likes cooking for people, is a helpful and engaging crew member and loves keeping active. No sailing experience is required but a history of sports and a willingness to learn how to sail is very desirable. Sailing the yacht isn't required but is encouraged. This role would suit someone who enjoys working alone at times and is a self starter. The ideal candidate would also be happy to help other crew members in their departments when required. The crew on board are fit, active and social, they enjoy climbing, swimming, cycling, yoga, music and socialising. Start date between the 1st and 20th June, full time, male or female.
Responsibilities
Serve as the sole chef on a 32m performance sailing yacht, managing both charter and private use meals. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of healthy dishes and assisting other crew members across different departments.
