Description

Are you the person we are looking for to join our team of chefs at the Victoria Inn?

ABOUT US

We are a busy independent pub located in a beautiful area of the South Downs National Park. We are popular with walkers, cyclists and day trippers, as well as many regulars and locals. Since opening in April 2021, we are going from strength to strength. We pride ourselves on offering a varied and enjoyable menu with good quality home-cooked food being at the heart of what we do.
Already we have a great following of loyal customers who regularly return to enjoy the excellent meals, including weekend breakfasts and Sunday roast dinners. Our freshly prepared food and our menu which is prepared from scratch, are some of the may things that are making us a popular destination for family meals and special occasions.
The Victoria Inn is located in the picturesque hamlet of West Marden. Although situated in the beautiful countryside, we are only a 15 minute drive from Horndean and a 20 minute drive from Chichester, Petersfield or Waterlooville.
As a family run business, we are a close-knit supportive team which is a lovely environment to work in.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· The ability to work quickly and efficiently, multi-tasking by working on several orders at a time as necessary whilst ensuring all dishes are produced to a high standard.
· The ability to work as part of a team with the kitchen team, and also liaising with the front of house staff as needed.
· The ability to work calmly under pressure, and keep the work area tidy and organized.
· A food hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness, especially in relation to food allergies and intolerances.
· Experience of working in a busy kitchen would be advantageous but is not essential.
· Be flexible and have a ‘can-do’ attitude and approach to challenges.
