We’re looking for a Chef (Full time and casual available) to join our founding team—someone who cooks with care, consistency, and creativity, and who thrives on making every dining experience memorable. Your opportunity Role commencing early 2026 Based at our new Heirloom Restaurant at Taren Point, in a full-time capacity, you will take ownership of daily kitchen operations, preparing and presenting high-quality Mediterranean-inspired meals for residents, guests, and the local community. You will lead by example, ensuring food safety, quality, and service excellence while mentoring and supporting the café team. With professionalism, passion, and a love for hospitality, you will: Prepare and deliver high-quality, seasonal dishes inspired by Mediterranean flavours Plan menus, manage stock ordering, and oversee kitchen operations Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, food safety, and hygiene regulations Lead and support kitchen staff, providing training and guidance where needed Monitor costs, assist with budgets, and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency Engage warmly with residents, guests, and team members, contributing to a welcoming and vibrant environment What you’ll bring Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent Minimum four years’ experience in a chef or cook role, preferably in café or restaurant settings Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards Excellent communication, literacy, and teamwork skills A collaborative, positive approach to supporting and mentoring others Creativity and passion for delivering consistent, high-quality food experiences Desirable but not essential: Experience in aged care or retirement living environments Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine or other fresh, seasonal cooking styles Why join us?
