Salary Range - Minimum $35.00 per hour Qld

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Chef plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The chef prepares appetizing and well-balanced meals while fostering positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents. The Chef will supervise the Catering team when on duty.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
  • Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
  • Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
