A PREP CHEF/CHEF ASSISTANT HAS MANY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE RESTAURANT, INCLUDING PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION OF FOOD ITEMS, CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF KITCHEN AREAS AND EQUIPMENT, AND ASSISTING THE CHEFS IN THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF THE KITCHEN.
Food must be prepared to the highest quality and done so following all Company and food safety guidelines, and each kitchen station must be maintained and operated in such a way as to comply with cleanliness and safety standards. An extensive understanding of food preparation techniques and food safety guidelines is necessary to be successful.
