REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook in a busy café, restaurant, or similar environment
  • Passion for fresh, quality food and creative menu development
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during peak times
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant culinary qualifications (preferred but not essential)
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Chef, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, assisting in kitchen operations, and ensuring every dish served meets our café’s standards of taste, presentation, and efficiency. You’ll work closely with our café team to keep the menu exciting, consistent, and on-trend.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes to a high standard
  • Develop and update seasonal menu items in collaboration with the management team
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize waste
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff (if applicable)
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative kitchen culture
