Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains a clean sanitised operation + food safety program
  • Assists with the ordering, holding, preparation and storage of food stock in dry, fresh, refrigerated and frozen spaces
  • Prepares food to standard recipe and portion controls that meet the company standards
  • Ensures wastage of all product and utilities is minimised at all times
  • Coordinates the use and maintenance of all equipment to regulatory standards
  • Ensures all stock levels are appropriately maintained to meet the level of forecasted operations
  • Creates specialty dishes from time to time, by utilising slow moving stocks or excess item

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Energetic and passionate about our goals for The Grass Lands
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar hospitality facility
  • Completed traineeship as qualified cook
  • Highly developed communication skills both up and down the line
  • Experience in large group catering up to 120pax
  • Sound knowledge of kitchen health and safety legislation
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2
Responsibilities

With the continued growth in business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Chef to contribute to delivering an exceptional modern food menu to public, players, families and functions at the Point Walter Golf Course.
We are looking for an all-rounder who is customer-focused, adaptable to our diverse range of clientele (Mon - Sun) and committed to driving sales across Cafe, Bar Menu, Functions and Party offerings. A combination of weekday and weekend hours (mainly daytime) with a minimum of 4 working days, working with the Head Chef and solo on occasions.
