WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

• Food Handlers/Safety, or ServSafe Food Protection Manager
• Experience in healthcare food service or restaurant experience required, Chef experience preferred

• You will act as primary lead in preparing high quality, high quantity nutritional food for delivery to patient units and for the cafeteria, ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner.
• You will observe methods of food preparation and cooking, temperature of foods, sizes of portions, and garnishing of food to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner.
• You will assist with the creation and adjustment of standardized recipes and food production quality assurance.
• You will assist with ordering food and supplies as needed and assuring quality storage of food.
• You will review menus and analyze recipes to determine food, labor and overhead costs and assign prices to menu items.
• You will maintain cleanliness in department through regular safety and sanitation audits and assign cleaning duties as needed.
• You will ensure client, customer service/satisfaction by modeling efficient, friendly service and promoting that behavior in other staff members. You will complete ongoing mandatory education regarding infection control, patient safety, quality improvement, and food safety standard
