Located at 171 Morayfield Rd, Morayfield QLD 4506, we serve our community 7 days a week, from early morning to late evening. As part of a well-established franchise, we maintain high standards in food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction, creating a friendly and efficient environment for both staff and guests. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our cafe.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant field.
· At least a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a high-paced, franchised cafe or restaurant environment, with a demonstrated ability to maintain operational standards under a well-established brand like Cafe 63.
· Proven experience managing day-to-day kitchen operations independently, including preparing a large, diverse menu while adhering to franchise standards.
· Extensive experience in coordinating kitchen staff and maintaining high service levels during peak hours, with a record of efficiently managing high customer volume.
· Strong background in menu consistency and quality control, including familiarity with specific menu requirements and preparation techniques.
· Proven track record in inventory management and cost control, optimizing ingredient use to minimize wastage while ensuring availability of all items on an expansive menu.
· Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards with experience in upholding rigorous health and safety protocols specific to the franchise’s operational requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong command of both advanced cooking techniques and basic preparation methods required for a diverse menu, particularly in line with Cafe 63’s unique offerings.
  • Superior organizational and time management abilities, able to work under pressure and manage multiple orders seamlessly, ensuring each dish meets both franchise and customer expectations.
  • Leadership skills with a proven ability to train and guide kitchen team members, ensuring all staff are capable of maintaining high standards, especially during peak hours.
  • Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and experience with automated point-of-sale integrations, ensuring real-time stock adjustments to meet demand.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control in food presentation, ensuring every dish adheres to Cafe 63’s specific standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities, especially in responding to last-minute issues, such as ingredient shortages or order changes, with minimal disruption to service.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating effectively with front-of-house staff, ensuring smooth customer service flow and timely delivery of high-demand dishes.
