LSE Catering have a variety of different outlets that offer freshly cooked foods, with an outstanding hospitality department and intimate fine dining events from 4 – 15 people. Working with top quality produce with welfare and sustainability at heart, each day is different, offering our guests diverse and creative world food.
You will be responsible for cooking and presenting a wide variety of dishes to the highest standard. In addition, you will assist with menu planning, stock management, and keeping waste to a minimum. Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety practices will be a key part of your role. You will also support and guide junior team members while ensuring fantastic customer service is always delivered.

Candidates should have:

  • Excellent chef skills
  • Relevant food safety qualification to deliver high standards of food safety
  • Ability to provide modern freshly cooked food and deliver an enjoyable dining experience for our students, staff and guests
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Ability to train, lead and motivate the team

What’s essential is that you’ll enjoy leading the team and will consistently deliver great service and standards.
All catering staff work flexibly and may be required to work in any of LSE Catering facilities. Working hours are varied and may involve early mornings, evenings and weekends. We offer straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
