Cardiff Bay Yacht Club is a well-established Private Members’ Club located in the heart of Cardiff Bay. We serve a vibrant community of over 1,000 members and manage a marina that accommodates more than 500 boats. Our facilities include a welcoming Clubhouse with a bar, restaurant and dedicated members lounge as well as an RYA-accredited Sailing Centre offering courses for all ages and abilities.
We are proud to offer a relaxed but high-quality dining experience and are now looking for an enthusiastic and skilled chef to join our kitchen team immediately.
We are seeking a motivated Chef with strong craft skills to supervise our junior catering team under the leadership of our executive chef. The role includes leading and supporting kitchen operations and maintaining excellent food standards in the chef’s absence.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and the ability to lead a team in delivering high-quality dishes. Duties: - Oversee kitchen operations and ensure food production meets high standards - Plan and create menus that delight our customers - Cook and prepare dishes according to recipes - Manage and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment - Lead by example, demonstrating culinary expertise and professionalism Requirements: - Proven experience working in a restaurant kitchen - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively - Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques - Understanding of food safety standards and regulations - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - Qualification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality is desirable Join us as a Chef and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
