COOK – THE MOUNTAINS SPECIALIST NURSING HOME

Location: Libanus, near Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
Pay: £13.80 per hour
Hours: 35 per week | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time | Rota includes weekends & bank holidays (every other weekend off where possible)

Do you take pride in creating wholesome, comforting meals? We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at The Mountains, a peaceful specialist care home surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons.
This is your chance to use your skills to make mealtimes one of the highlights of each resident’s day.

YOUR ROLE

As our Cook, you’ll play a key role in residents’ health and happiness by preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to their needs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, balanced meals to a consistently high standard
• Planning varied weekly menus with the care team
• Catering for special dietary needs, including allergies and texture-modified diets
• Serving meals on time and presenting them attractively
• Ordering and managing stock within budget
• Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and following all food hygiene standards
