The Role: As our Catering Manager / Chef, you’ll lead the kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. This hands-on role involves overseeing menu planning, stock control and compliance with food safety standards, while ensuring meals are prepared with care, flavour and variety. You’ll manage day-to-day kitchen operations, supervise and roster catering staff, and foster a positive team culture. With a strong focus on fresh, homestyle cooking, you’ll also work closely with residents and care staff to accommodate individual dietary needs and create a dining experience that feels like home.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing the catering team to ensure high standards in food preparation and service.
  • Creating seasonal, nutritious, and appetising menus that cater to residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, food safety regulations, and HACCP requirements.
  • Engaging with residents to understand their meal preferences and continuously enhance their dining experience.
  • Managing kitchen operations, budgets, and staff training to maintain efficiency and quality.
