We are looking for someone who is positive, enthusiastic and compassionate to join our team at care home that provides a home to those with diagnosed with mental health condition or dementia.

As a cook, your main responsibilities will be:

• To prepare nutritious and appetising food for our residents. This will include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
• To prepare a four-weekly rotating menu based on the residents’ preferences and update it in line with standards. This will include options of a cooked breakfast, two different main options for lunch with fresh vegetables, and desserts.
• To ensure all food hygiene guidelines are followed and any issues are raised promptly. This includes daily and deep cleaning, ensuring food is stored and dated correctly, and keeping accurate records.
• To ensure all food orders are placed in adequate time while working under an agreed budget.
• To meet any dietary requirements necessary, such as allergies, sensitivities, and nutritional needs.
• To always comply with the home’s guidelines and policies.
• To report to the home manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user.
• To do any other duties that may be reasonably expected of you.

Pay begins at £12.50/hour for weekdays. Our pay rates are based on NVQ levels so the more qualified you get, the more you get paid. And the good news is we can offer free, on the job training
We are looking for someone to work every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8-6. Experience is required. More hours may be available if required.
