About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Chinese dishes to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Chinese kitchens and will be able to operate and manage wok, steaming, and stir fry stations with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes with attention to taste, presentation, and quality
· Operate and manage wok, steaming, and stir fry stations efficiently and safely
· Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
· Work collaboratively with kitchen and service team members
· Ensure compliance with all restaurant, health and safety, and food handling regulations
· Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed
· Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff

Requirements

• Diploma of Hospitality Management
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
• Previous extensive experience as a Chef/cook, preferably with authentic Chinese cuisine
• Basic English conversational skills
• Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• All required compliance certificates for food safety and handling
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Great team player, able to communicate and cooperate effectively
