Key Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene in line with hotel and restaurant guidelines. Prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes and presentation standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and smooth service coordination. Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency; ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. Manage inventory, control stock levels, and minimize waste. Assist in purchasing, menu development, and maintaining food and labor cost targets. Keep records updated and support financial goals through efficient kitchen operations. Follow all safety, hygiene, and appearance standards; complete necessary training and certifications. Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor. Completes safety training and certifications. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team in reaching common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintains confidentiality of proprietary information. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by his manager. Qualifications Hospitality oriented 3 years minimum in a supervisory role as chef in a high volume, multioutlet hotel or banquets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and efficiency, especially under pressure and with minimal supervision. Physically capable of performing job-related tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 60 pounds, and other physical movements as required. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fully bilingual (Spanish & English).
